All library programs and events are temporarily suspended while we are closed, but here are ongoing programs you can look forward to when we reopen!

  • Little Adventurers: 6-23 months old (Approx. 30 minutes)
    This program promotes social skills and early language development and lays the foundation for reading through letter, color and number recognition. It will include stories, songs, rhymes, finger plays, puppets, and movement activities.

  • Fun and Friends Hour! (Approx. 60 minutes)
    A drop-in program for parents/caregivers and their children features a play and story group for the children and talk for the adults. Meet new friends or chat with people you know and enjoy. Snacks will be offered.

  • Time for Twos – For 2-year-olds
    This 30-minute program promotes social skills and early reading development through stories, finger plays, songs, flannel board rhymes, and movement activities. This is a program for children to share with parents/caregivers.

  • Family Storytime – for ages 3 and up
    This 30-minute program encourages creative expression, social skills, listening comprehension, and vocabulary building through stories, songs, flannel boards, rhymes, and movement activities. This is a program for children to share with parents/caregivers.

  • Little Adventurers – ages 6 – 23 months

  • Fun & Friends – ages 6 months – 5 years
    A casual gathering for parents/caregivers and their children, this program features free play time and a brief storytime for the children, and socializing for the adults. Meet new friends or chat with people you know and enjoy. Snacks will be offered.

  • Bedtime Stories
    Come to the picture book area of the library to share some special stories with Miss Meg before bedtime.

  • Read to Therapy Dogs
    What do you get when you bring children, dogs and books together? You get happy, confident children who love to read! Each child will be able to read with a therapy dog for 15 minutes.

  • Kids STEAM
    Fun programs focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math for grades 3-5.

  • Science Explorers
    Educational and fun programs focused on exploring science for age 4-grade 2.

  • Mah Jong Club
    American-style Mah Jong. This group is open to participants who have learned how to play the game.

  • Adult Coloring
    Join us for adult coloring at the library. Coloring reduces stress and anxiety, trains your brain to focus, and helps with fine motor skills. But, even better, it’s fun and a great social activity. We will provide many coloring books to choose from, colored pens and pencils and refreshments.

  • Movie Matinees
    Afternoon movies spanning all genres.

  • Book Clubs
    We offer 4 book clubs: mystery, general fiction, nonfiction, and a compassion book club.

  • Learn to Speak French
    Weekly classes for beginner and intermediate French speakers.

  • Inklings – A Teen Writer’s Group
    Calling all teen writers! Come and work on a project, do writing exercises, and hear from other teen writers.

  • BOLT: Board of Library Teens
    Make your voice heard! Help us plan future teen events. Brainstorm other ways teens can get involved at the library. Select books for us to order for the collection. Eat some snacks!

  • Middle School Book Club
    A book club for kids in grades 5-8.
