Location: Community Room
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Brookfield resident Sara Dalton will guide you in creating squares for a t-shirt quilt using the library’s sewing machines!
This will be a 2-part FREE class, with the second class taking place on Saturday, June 3. During the first class, you will cut t-shirt squares, add interfacing, and sew together. In the second session, you will add the back to the quilt, machine quilt around the squares, and do the binding. You may need to do some work outside of the classes. If you don’t have a sewing machine at home, you can schedule time to use one of ours.
Here is a list of what you will need to bring:
- T-Shirts (the more the better!)
- Fabric for Sashing: 1 yard
- Fabric for Border: 1 1/2 yards
- Fabric for back of quilt: 4 1/2 yards
- Batting (light-weight 72″x90″)
We will provide 8.5 yards of interfacing.
Register once for both sessions.
Registration is not open for this event.
