April is National Poetry Month. Brookfield Poet Laureate Atom Rush will help us celebrate by leading a poetry discussion group. His topic is poets who wrote famous novels: Emily Brontë, Herman Melville, and Alice Walker.

The poems to be discussed are:

“Ah! Why, Because the Dazzling Sun” by Emily Brontë (author of Wuthering Heights)

“The House-Top: A Night Piece” by Herman Melville (author of Moby Dick)

“Expect Nothing” by Alice Walker (author of The Color Purple)
