We offer storytimes for kids of all ages!
Our Winter Storytime session
will begin January 9, 2012, and run through March 5.
All registrations begin Monday, December 19. You may register by phone, online from our Calendar of Events, or in our library. Call Donna Crane at 203.775.6241 x105 with questions.
Time For 2s (Approx. 30 minutes)
A storytime for children to share with their parents/caregivers. Includes
stories, songs, flannel board rhymes, movement and games.
Offered three times a week: Mon. @ 10:45 a.m. and Tues. @ 10:15
a.m. * Registration Required
Monday programs run from 1/9-3/5/12, with
no class on 1/16, 2/13, & 2/20. Tuesday programs run from 1/10-2/21/12.
Terrific 3s (Approx. 30 minutes)
Experience the same format as Time for 2s but for children with a more
mature attention span.
Offered Mondays @ 10:00 a.m. and Fridays @ 9:30 a.m.* Registration

Start with Art - Story
hour for children ages 4-5 (Approx. 45 minutes)
Simple and colorful art projects will be created. We will read about
an artist or famous artwork, then try to create a project inspired by
it. Some projects will use the same methods or materials, while others
will be based on what the artwork shows. This storytime will be messy
so bring a smock and dress appropriately!
Offered Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 1:00 p.m. * Registration

Fabulous Fours
and Fives - A program for children ages 4 & 5 (Approx. 30 minutes)
Come share some "fabulous" stories that will leave your child clamoring for more! Mrs. Santi will read books that she loves and children will be encouraged to share their ideas about the stories and their authors. Books will be available for children to look at both before and after storytime.
Offered Mondays @ 2:30 p.m. on 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, & 2/27/12.

Ongoing Children’s Programs:
Little Adventurers 6-23 months old (Approx. 30 minutes)
Parents/Caregivers and babies enjoy movement games, nursery rhymes,
flannel board rhymes and experience an
introduction to group read-aloud.
Offered Tuesdays @ 11:00 a.m. or Fridays @ 10:15 & 11 a.m. * Register
at first visit
Fun and Friends Hour! (Approx. 60 minutes)
A drop-in program for parents/caregivers and their children features
a play and story group for the children and talk for the adults. Meet
new friends or chat with people you know and enjoy. Snacks will be offered.
Offered Wednesdays @ 10:00 a.m. *NO Registration Required
Lunchbox Tales (Approx. 30 minutes)
Pack a lunch with your preschooler and picnic while we read stories
and watch movies based on your child’s favorite characters. New theme
each week, i.e. dogs, pumpkins, good night tales, monkeys, etc.
Fridays @ Noon (but feel free to come early to lay out your
picnic blanket!) *NO Registration Required
Mrs. Santi's Bedtime Stories! (Approx. 30
minutes)
Cozy up with Mrs. Santi in our picture book section to enjoy stories and fun activities for moms, dads, caregivers and children ages 3 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Offered the second and fourth Thursday of every month @ 6:30
p.m., unless the library is closed for a holiday. *NO Registration Required
