The Brookfield Library Homeschool Partnership Meeting

Date & Time: May 14, 2014 1:00 pm

We will be hosting a reading specialist this month!

Cynthia McRuiz has taught in public schools, private schools, and tutored home-educated students for ten years.  Her experience includes elementary, middle school and high school levels in a wide variety of subjects.  Cynthia is a firm believer in the efficacy of the home school model.  She strives to make each one of her students the best that they can be and to treat them as she would want her own children to be treated.

Cynthia will be speaking about how children learn to read, reading readiness, different approaches to learning how to read e.g., phonics or whole language, which approach to use for one's child, reading disabilities, and when to be concerned.

We are asking parents to register for this meeting to ensure we have enough parents present for the speaker.  You do not need to be a Brookfield resident or a member of our Homeschool partnership to attend.

Children are always welcome.

You can register online below, by phone @ 203-775-6241 or in person at our Checkout Desk by Tuesday, May 13 @ noon.
