Journal keeping is a remarkably valuable activity for kids that hones language skills and allows opportunities for non-verbal expression.
And it’s fun!
This session, based on Marissa Moss’ book Amelia Writes Again, will focus on writing short stories in groups and will examine issues of privacy in journal writing. We hope some of our writers will be willing to share some stories they have written in their journals since our last meeting.
Returning children are asked to bring the journals they received at our last session with them. Our “newbies” will be given a journal to take make their own.
There is no fee for this program, just the requirement to bring your imagination.
Registration required. You may register online below, by phone at 203-775-6241 or in person at our Checkout Desk by Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
